APU’s Sustainable Future Fusion (SFF) students celebrated Malaysia’s cultural diversity at the 4th Annual KL Prosperity Walk 2025 in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.
On 15th February 2025, the final day of the official Chinese New Year celebration, 20 enthusiastic students from the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU)’s Sustainable Future Fusion (SFF) proudly represented their institution at the vibrant 4th Annual KL Prosperity Walk 2025.
Held in Bukit Bintang, the heart of downtown Kuala Lumpur, the event was a lively celebration of Malaysia’s cultural diversity and unity, promoting inclusivity, harmony, and social cohesion among people of all ethnicities.
As they joined the scenic walk, which passed some of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic landmarks like Lot 10, Starhill Gallery, Pavilion KL, and Suria KLCC, the APU students stood out in their colourful and exquisite traditional costumes representing various cultural backgrounds. Their participation brought Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage to life, making them walking embodiments of unity and diversity.
Strengthening Partnerships for Greater Impact
This was the first event APU students took part in following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between APU and the Kuala Lumpur Tourism Operators and Stakeholders Association (KLTESA). The MoU, spearheaded by Ms Cynthia Paul, lecturer at the School of Business (SoB) and one of SFF’s advisers, marks the beginning of collaborative efforts to promote cultural awareness and sustainable initiatives under SDG17.
Co-organised by the BB Tourist Association and KL Society and officially recognised by Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), the KL Prosperity Walk 2025 perfectly aligned with SFF’s mission to foster cultural diversity, environmental consciousness, and youth empowerment.
